Collection: Grass & Sedge Seeds

Explore our range of ornamental grass seeds and sedge seeds, giving growers the chance to raise grasses and grass-like plants of every kind from seed. Ornamental grasses and sedges have become indispensable in modern planting, prized for their movement, texture, form and year-round structure. At Botanical Archive we bring together a broad selection of rare and collectable grass seeds, true grasses (Poaceae) and grass-like sedges (Cyperaceae) and rushes alike, for naturalistic borders, prairie and meadow schemes and contemporary gardens.

Our range spans airy flowering grasses, bold architectural species, fine-textured lawn and meadow grasses, and the versatile sedges and rushes for damp ground and waterside planting. Whether you are creating a prairie-style border, a wildlife meadow or a modern textural garden, you will find both familiar favourites and unusual species.

Popular grass and sedge genera offered from seed include:

• Miscanthus, Pennisetum and Panicum — bold, showy ornamental grasses
• Stipa, Nassella and Briza — airy, graceful flowering grasses
• Festuca, Deschampsia and Molinia — fine-textured tufted grasses
• Carex, Cyperus and Scirpus — versatile sedges for structure and waterside

All of our seeds are carefully sourced, tested for viability and shipped worldwide with the appropriate phytosanitary documentation. Whether you are an experienced designer or sowing your first ornamental grass seeds, Botanical Archive is a trusted source. Browse the collection below and explore by genus.
