Product Description

The Euphorbia obesa, affectionately called the baseball plant, is a living example of nature’s symmetry and restraint. With its perfectly rounded body and clean vertical ridges, this small succulent resembles a hand-crafted stone orb. Its smooth skin varies in tone, shifting from bluish-green to olive gray, and often displays subtle purple or reddish bands under strong light. Its form is so geometric that it looks almost artificial.

Collectors prize Euphorbia obesa for its low-maintenance character and sculptural shape. Native to South Africa, it grows slowly and remains compact, rarely exceeding 15 cm in height. Male and female flowers grow on separate plants, making it even more intriguing. When mature, it produces tiny, understated blooms at the apex—adding charm without disrupting the plant’s clean lines.

• Naturally forms a spherical, ribbed silhouette
• Skin shifts between green, gray, and purplish hues
• Grows slowly and stays compact
• Rarely needs watering or pruning
• Highly sought after by succulent collectors

The Euphorbia obesa thrives in containers and minimalist interiors. Its alien-like form and muted palette suit modern décor perfectly. Easy to care for and visually fascinating, it offers lasting beauty in a small, sculptural package.
