Epithelantha bokei

Epithelantha bokei, a captivating miniature cactus, enchants with its diminutive size and intricate beauty. This slow-growing species forms small, solitary or slowly clustering stems, rarely exceeding 2 cm in diameter. The stem is densely covered with tiny, overlapping tubercles, arranged in a spiral pattern. Each tubercle bears a cluster of short, white, pectinate spines, creating a delicate, almost frosty appearance. The spines, often numbering over 20 per areole, effectively conceal the stem's surface. In spring, Epithelantha bokei produces small, pink flowers at the apex, adding a touch of color to its subtle charm.
