Product Description
With its unmistakably spiny, silver-blue fronds and low, sculptural form, Encephalartos horridus is among the most visually arresting cycads. Native to South Africa’s Eastern Cape, this ancient species displays tightly curled, sharply toothed leaflets that give it a fierce, almost prehistoric appearance. Its thick, woody trunk remains mostly underground, enhancing its dramatic, ground-hugging rosette. Male and female cones, produced on separate plants, add further intrigue to this bold botanical relic.
