Product Description

The Encephalartos friderici-guilielmi, a striking cycad species, boasts a stout trunk reaching up to 3 meters in height, crowned with lush, arching fronds of pinnate leaves. The leaves, measuring up to 1.5 meters long, are dark green with a leathery texture, while the stiff leaflets have slightly serrated edges. This dioecious plant produces either golden-yellow male cones or larger, egg-shaped female cones with seeds encased in a red fleshy coat. Endemic to the Eastern Cape of South Africa, the Encephalartos friderici-guilielmi thrives in rocky grasslands and is admired for its prehistoric appearance and resilience.
