Product Description
Echinofossulocactus pentacanthus, also known as the "Texas nipple cactus," is a striking succulent native to northeastern Mexico. Its cylindrical, ribbed stems bear distinctively pronounced tubercles, each adorned with five hooked spines, hence the species name "pentacanthus." These spines, ranging from yellow to brown, provide protection against herbivores and harsh desert conditions. During spring and summer, it produces vibrant pinkish-purple flowers that contrast beautifully with its green stem. This slow-growing cactus thrives in well-draining soil and requires ample sunlight, making it a captivating addition to arid gardens and xeriscapes.
