Product Description

The Dioon edule 'Rio Verde' (female) is a rare and robust cycad form from the Rio Verde region of San Luis Potosí, Mexico. It features compact, upright fronds with narrow, recurved leaflets that give it a denser, more elegant crown than typical D. edule. The leaf color ranges from deep green to a muted blue-green, and the female cone, when mature, is large, woolly, and pale beige. This slow-growing specimen brings a prehistoric charm and resilient character to xeric gardens and collections.
