The Cereus peruvianus, also known as the Peruvian Apple Cactus, is a striking columnar cactus with tall, blue-green ribbed stems that can reach impressive heights. Its thick, segmented structure is adorned with clusters of small spines. This fast-growing cactus produces spectacular, large, white, night-blooming flowers, which are pollinated by nocturnal insects. These blooms give way to sweet, edible red fruits, often called Peruvian apples. Adapted to arid conditions, this resilient species is perfect for xeriscaping, ornamental planting, or greenhouse cultivation.
