Product Description
Austrocactus duseni is a rare, semi-erect cactus species native to the Patagonian steppes of southern Argentina, where it thrives in cold, windy conditions. It has a short, cylindrical stem with prominent tubercles arranged along distinct ribs, and is covered in dense spines, including thick, often twisted central spines. In late spring, it produces striking orange to coppery-red funnel-shaped flowers, often larger than the stem itself. Its hardiness, unique form, and vivid blooms make it a standout in any cold-climate cactus collection.
