Aloidendron pillansii (syn. Aloe pillansii) is a critically endangered succulent tree species endemic to southern Africa. This impressive plant, belonging to the Asphodelaceae family, is characterized by its massive, forked trunk that can reach up to 10 meters tall. The bark is covered in distinctive, persistent leaf bases, giving it a textured appearance. Aloidendron pillansii produces long, fleshy leaves arranged in rosettes at the branch tips, and its flowers are yellow, tubular, and rich in nectar, attracting pollinators.
