Agave maximiliana SEEDS

Agave maximiliana, also called Maximilian Agave, is a robust, medium to large agave native to the pine-oak woodlands of western Mexico, particularly Jalisco and Nayarit. This species forms symmetrical rosettes with long, narrow, arching green to bluish-green leaves lined with prominent teeth and ending in a sharp terminal spine. It’s one of the prized wild agaves used in mezcal production, valued for its sugar-rich heart. The seeds of Agave maximiliana are flat, round, dark brown to black, with a slightly glossy surface and thin papery edges, adapted for wind dispersal.
