Product Description
The Agave geminiflora RED FORM is a striking and rare variation of the classic geminiflora, cherished for its deep red to burgundy foliage that intensifies in strong sunlight. This compact agave forms a dense, spherical rosette of ultra-thin, flexible leaves that radiate symmetrically like a living sculpture. Each leaf tapers to a fine point and is often outlined with delicate white filaments, creating a dramatic contrast against the plant’s reddish tones.
As it matures, the Agave geminiflora RED FORM maintains its elegant, rounded habit, rarely growing larger than 60 cm across. The foliage shifts through shades of red, maroon, and bronze, especially in dry, sunny conditions, making it a favorite for collectors seeking color variation in xeric gardens. It produces a towering bloom spike after many years, adorned with paired greenish-yellow flowers, although the plant will slowly die afterward, like all agaves.
