The Cupressus arizonica var. glabra, commonly known as the Smooth Arizona Cypress, is a striking evergreen conifer with a conical to pyramidal form. Its foliage features fine, scale-like blue-green leaves, releasing a pleasant, resinous aroma when crushed. Unlike the standard variety, its bark is smooth and silvery-gray, peeling attractively with age. This fast-growing cypress is highly drought-tolerant, making it a popular choice for windbreaks, ornamental planting, and reforestation in arid and semi-arid regions. Its small, woody cones persist year-round.
