Albizia julibrissin SEEDS

Albizia julibrissin, often known as the silk tree or Persian silk tree, is a truly captivating ornamental species that combines exotic grace with botanical intrigue. Belonging to the Fabaceae family, this deciduous tree is admired for its airy, fern-like bipinnate leaves that fold at night or during rain, giving it a delicate, responsive charm. Its most iconic feature is the profusion of powder-pink, silky stamens that bloom in summer, creating a soft, pom-pom-like canopy of fragrant flowers that attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Native to Asia, particularly Iran, China, and Korea, it thrives in warm climates and can grow up to 5–12 meters tall, forming a broad, umbrella-shaped crown. The bark is smooth and grayish, and the tree produces flat, brown seed pods that persist into winter.
