Product Description
Agave deserti is a rugged, slow-growing succulent forming tight rosettes of stiff, blue-green to grayish leaves lined with sharp teeth and tipped by a strong, dark terminal spine. Often forming clumps of multiple rosettes, it thrives in harsh, arid landscapes. The mature plant sends up a spectacular flower spike up to 5 meters tall, bearing clusters of yellow, tubular blooms that attract pollinators. Its seeds are flat, black, and papery, easily germinated under dry, warm conditions.

Cultivation
Soil type: Extremely well-drained sandy or gritty soil; avoid clay or compact substrates.
Watering frequency: Very low; water only when the soil is completely dry. Once established, drought-tolerant.
Light exposure: Full sun; tolerates intense desert sunlight.
Temperature requirements: Thrives in 12–35°C (54–95°F); can survive brief drops to -6°C (21°F).
Fertilization: Apply diluted cactus fertilizer during active growth (spring/summer).
Pruning: Remove old, dried leaves or spent flower stalks if needed.
Common pests: Rarely affected, but may encounter snout weevils or mealybugs.
Other care: When growing from seeds, provide consistent warmth (around 25–30°C | 77–86°F), excellent airflow, and avoid overwatering.
