Plant Description

The Mexican Fan Palm (Washingtonia robusta) is an imposing, fast-growing palm tree known for its tall, slender trunk that can reach heights of 70–100 feet. Its fan-shaped, glossy green fronds spread up to 5 feet wide, creating a distinctive crown atop the trunk. As the fronds age, they form a "skirt" around the trunk, adding texture and a dramatic silhouette. Hardy and highly ornamental, Washingtonia robusta thrives in warm climates, adding a tropical atmosphere with its gracefully arching fronds and towering form, making it a popular choice for landscapes and streetscapes.
