Thevetia peruviana (YELLOW FLOWER)
Plant Description
The Yellow Oleander (Thevetia peruviana) is a tropical shrub or small tree recognized for its slender, glossy green leaves and distinctive funnel-shaped, bright yellow flowers. Blooming throughout much of the year in warm climates, the flowers exude a light fragrance and add a vivid, ornamental appeal to gardens. Growing up to 10–20 feet tall, Thevetia peruviana has smooth, greenish-brown bark and produces small, rounded fruit that ripen from green to black. Although beautiful, all parts of this plant are toxic if ingested, so caution is advised when planting it near children or pets.
