Product Description

Stenocereus pruinosus, commonly known as the Gray Ghost Organ Pipe or Pitayo de Octubre, is a large, columnar cactus species native to Mexico. It forms thick, upright stems that can branch and grow up to 15 feet tall, covered in blue-green skin with a waxy, pruinose (frosted) coating that gives it a ghostly appearance. The ribs are adorned with clusters of sharp, radial spines. In summer, this cactus produces large, white, nocturnal flowers, followed by edible red fruits known as pitayas, which are highly prized for their sweet flavor. Stenocereus pruinosus is often used in desert landscapes and is known for its majestic silhouette and delicious fruits.
