Plant Description

Solanum mauritianum, commonly known as Woolly Nightshade or Flannel Weed, is a robust, perennial shrub that can grow up to 10 meters tall. Its large, ovate leaves are covered in a dense layer of fine hairs, giving them a silvery-gray appearance and a soft, velvety texture. The plant produces clusters of purple star-shaped flowers with prominent yellow stamens, followed by small, spherical, green fruits that turn yellow when ripe. Its stems and branches are woody, often covered in fine hair, and can become quite thick as the plant matures.
