Plant Description

Rosa sempervirens, commonly called the evergreen rose, is a vigorous, climbing evergreen shrub with glossy, dark green leaves and delicate, fragrant white flowers. This hardy rose produces clusters of single, five-petaled flowers from late spring to early summer, each bloom carrying a light, sweet fragrance. Following the flowering season, it develops small, bright red hips that add color and interest through autumn and winter. Native to southern Europe, Rosa sempervirens is often found growing on hillsides, creating dense, beautiful ground cover with its trailing stems.
