Product Description

Pyrrhocactus cachytayensis is a small, globular cactus native to northern Argentina. It typically grows to a diameter of about 10 cm, with a dark green, sometimes purplish, body that features pronounced ribs and prominent tubercles. The areoles are large and bear straight, yellowish to brownish spines. During the flowering season, it produces bright yellow, funnel-shaped flowers that emerge from the crown. The flowers are relatively large compared to the plant's size, adding a striking visual contrast. The fruit is small, spherical, and contains numerous tiny seeds.
