Plant Description
The Prunus cerasifera cv 'Pissardii', commonly known as the cherry plum or purple leaf plum, is a small, deciduous tree prized for its striking foliage. Its leaves emerge a deep purple in spring, maturing to a rich reddish-purple throughout the summer. In early spring, before the leaves appear, the tree produces a profusion of small, fragrant, pink flowers, adding to its ornamental appeal. The cherry plum also bears small, edible, purple fruits that attract birds.
