Plant Description

The Scots pine, or Pinus sylvestris, is a striking evergreen conifer characterized by its tall, straight trunk and a broad, rounded crown. Its reddish-brown bark peels in thin flakes, contrasting with its slender, twisted bluish-green needles arranged in pairs. Growing up to 35 meters, this hardy pine produces conical, woody cones that mature to a gray-brown hue. Native to Europe and Asia, the Scots pine is valued for its resilience, ornamental beauty, and importance in timber production and reforestation projects.
