Plant Description
The Picea abies, commonly known as the Norway Spruce, is a majestic evergreen conifer with a conical form and drooping branchlets. Its dark green needles, measuring 1-2 cm, are arranged radially around the branches, giving it a lush appearance. The cylindrical cones, up to 15-20 cm long, are the largest among spruces, turning brown as they mature. The reddish-brown bark starts smooth and develops scaly plates with age. Capable of growing 30-50 meters tall, this fast-growing tree is a staple in forests, landscapes, and as a traditional Christmas tree.
