Plant Description

The Persea americana, commonly known as the avocado tree, is an evergreen tree with a dense, rounded canopy. Its glossy, dark green leaves are elliptical and leathery, creating a lush appearance. Small, pale greenish-yellow flowers bloom in clusters, leading to the development of its prized fruit—the avocado. The fruit is pear-shaped with a rough, textured skin that ranges from green to nearly black when ripe. Its creamy, pale yellow-green flesh surrounds a large central seed, celebrated for its rich, buttery texture and nutritional value.
