Plant Description

The rare Pediocactus peeblesianus is a small, spherical cactus native to Coconino, Arizona, found primarily in rocky, arid regions. Its diminutive size, often less than 5 cm in diameter, hides its intricate beauty. The gray-green body is adorned with small, white spines that form a compact, geometric pattern. In spring, it produces delicate pink or pale yellow flowers, offering a striking contrast to its modest form. This cactus remains partially buried for much of the year, making it well-adapted to its harsh environment and a prized find for collectors.
