Oreocereus celsianus var. boliviensis
Oreocereus celsianus var. boliviensis
Product Description
Oreocereus celsianus, commonly known as the Old Man of the Andes, is a striking columnar cactus native to the high altitudes of the Andes. This cactus is instantly recognizable by its tall, cylindrical stems, densely covered in long, white, woolly hairs, which serve as protection from the intense sun and cold of its native environment. The stems are typically green, ribbed, and adorned with clusters of sharp, yellow to red spines that contrast beautifully with the soft white hair. In summer, it produces tubular, deep red to orange flowers, adding to its dramatic appearance.
