Neoporteria occulta, also known as Eriosyce occulta, is a small, globular cactus native to the coastal regions south of Paposo, Chile. This cactus features dark green to almost black stems with prominent ribs and tubercles. The spines are short, curved, and range in color from yellowish to black.
