Plant Description

The Myrtus communis var. tarentina, commonly known as Dwarf Myrtle or Tarentum Myrtle, is a compact, evergreen shrub with dense, small, oval leaves of a rich, glossy green. This dwarf variety of the common myrtle is notable for its more delicate foliage and cream-colored flowers that bloom in late summer. These fragrant, star-shaped blooms are followed by small, white berries, adding to its ornamental appeal. With its tight, rounded form and slow-growing nature, it’s perfect for hedging, borders, or containers, bringing a Mediterranean charm to gardens.
