Plant Description
Iris germanica, commonly known as the German Iris or Bearded Iris, is a perennial herbaceous plant. It features sword-like leaves that grow in dense clumps and reach lengths of up to 90 cm. The plant is renowned for its large, showy flowers that come in a variety of colors including blue, purple, white, yellow, and bi-colored. Each flower has three upright petals (standards) and three drooping petals (falls) with a distinctive beard of short hairs.
