Product Description

Espostoa melanostele is a columnar cactus native to the high-altitude regions of Peru and Bolivia. It can grow up to 2-3 meters tall and 5-10 cm in diameter. The plant is characterized by its dense, woolly, white hair that covers the entire stem, which serves as protection from intense sunlight and cold temperatures. Beneath the hair, the cactus has numerous ribs adorned with yellow-brown spines. It produces nocturnal, white to pinkish flowers that emerge from a cephalium, a specialized flowering zone.
