Product Description

Eriosyce subgibbosa subsp. wagenknechtii is a cylindrical cactus native to the coastal and mountain regions of central Chile. This species typically grows up to 20 cm tall and 10 cm in diameter. The stems are dark green, ribbed, and covered with numerous areoles bearing white, woolly hair and stout, straight spines that are yellow to brown in color. It produces funnel-shaped, bright red to pink flowers at the apex, blooming in late spring to early summer. Eriosyce subgibbosa wagenknechtii thrives in well-draining, sandy to rocky soils and requires full sun.
