Native to Japan, this compact shrub reaches heights of 1.5–4 meters (5–13 feet) with an upright, multi-stemmed form. In spring, clusters of pendulous, creamy-white flowers with red veins bloom profusely, adding a graceful charm. Its elliptical, dark-green leaves turn vibrant shades of orange, red, and yellow in autumn, making it a seasonal standout in any garden.
