The Encephalartos latifrons is a rare, slow-growing cycad with a unique prehistoric appearance. Its robust trunk is crowned with a symmetrical rosette of broad, leathery fronds, each featuring stiff, pointed leaflets in a striking blue-green hue. Native to South Africa, this endangered species is highly sought after for its elegance and resilience. The Encephalartos latifrons produces large, conical seed cones, with female cones often showing a bright orange-red color. This majestic plant stands as a living relic, representing one of the oldest plant lineages on Earth.
