The Echinocereus rigidissimus subs. rubispinus is an incredibly beautiful cylindrical cactus, known for its dense spines that range from deep red to purple-pink, creating a vibrant visual effect. This subspecies is admired for its white to light pink flowers, which bloom at the apex of the cactus during the spring. The spines are tightly arranged in rings, giving the plant a fuzzy appearance.
