Product Description

Denmoza rhodacantha is a robust, cylindrical cactus with striking spines. Initially globular, it slowly becomes columnar, growing up to 1.5 meters tall. Its green stems are adorned with clusters of long, red to brown spines that give the plant its name, as "rhodacantha" refers to "red spines" in Greek. This cactus produces funnel-shaped red flowers at its apex, blooming in summer, though flowering takes years. Native to Argentina, it's a drought-tolerant, slow-growing species ideal for xeriscaping or as a bold focal point in rock gardens or containers.
