Dasylirion acrotrichum var. occidentalis, a striking member of the Asparagaceae family, is a succulent native to Mexico. This evergreen plant features a dense rosette of stiff, sword-shaped leaves, often reaching several feet in length. The leaves are typically green to grayish-green and armed with sharp, spiny teeth along the margins. Mature plants may develop a tall, flowering stalk that can reach up to 15 feet, bearing numerous small, greenish-white flowers.
