Product Description
Copiapoa atacamensis is a distinctive cactus species native to the Atacama Desert in Chile. It features globular to slightly cylindrical, greyish-green stems that grow to about 10-20 cm in height and 6-12 cm in diameter. The cactus has 12-20 ribs adorned with white woolly areoles, each bearing clusters of short, dark spines. In the summer, it produces small, bright yellow, funnel-shaped flowers that emerge near the top of the stems. This cactus is highly adapted to extremely arid conditions, thriving in well-draining soil and requiring minimal water. Copiapoa atacamensis is valued for its striking appearance and resilience, making it a popular choice for xeriscaping and specialized cactus collections.
