Product Description

Copiapoa atacamensis is a remarkable cactus native to the arid Atacama Desert of Chile. It features a columnar to slightly globular form, with a gray-green body divided into well-defined ribs. Each rib is lined with small, felted areoles that bear short, robust spines, varying from yellowish to dark brown. Its natural waxy coating helps protect against harsh sunlight and extreme dryness. In summer, Copiapoa atacamensis produces small, funnel-shaped yellow flowers near the apex, adding a touch of brightness to its rugged desert appearance. Its resilience makes it a prized addition to xerophytic collections.
