Plant Description

Citrus × paradisi, commonly known as white grapefruit, is a hybrid citrus tree resulting from a cross between the pomelo (Citrus maxima) and the sweet orange (Citrus × sinensis). It is an evergreen tree with a rounded crown, dense foliage, and glossy, dark green leaves. The tree produces fragrant white flowers in spring, which develop into large, round fruits with a smooth, yellow rind. The flesh inside is pale yellow to white, juicy, and has a tart, slightly bitter flavor. White grapefruit is commonly eaten fresh, juiced, or used in salads and desserts.
