Plant Description

Citrus limon ‘Sorrento’, commonly known as the Sorrento Lemon or Limone di Sorrento, is a prized variety native to the Sorrento and Amalfi coasts of Italy. This lemon is renowned for its large, oval-shaped fruits with a thick, fragrant rind rich in essential oils. The bright yellow fruits have a high juice content with a slightly sweet, less acidic flavor, making them perfect for culinary uses, particularly in making the famous Italian liqueur limoncello. The tree itself is medium-sized with glossy green leaves and fragrant white flowers that bloom in spring, attracting pollinators.
