Plant Description
Citrus hindsii, commonly known as the Hong Kong Kumquat, is a small, thorny citrus tree native to Hong Kong and surrounding regions. This slow-growing species is characterized by its diminutive size, rarely exceeding 3 meters in height. Its leaves are small, dark green, and lanceolate, with a glossy upper surface. The flowers are small, white, and fragrant, typically appearing in spring. The fruit is small, round, and orange, with a thin, sweet rind and a tart, juicy pulp. Unlike other kumquats, the Hong Kong Kumquat has relatively large seeds for its fruit size.
