Product Description

Carnegiea gigantea, commonly known as the saguaro, is an iconic cactus native to the Sonoran Desert, easily recognized by its towering, columnar shape and characteristic arms that extend upward. This slow-growing cactus can reach heights of up to 12-18 meters, with mature specimens displaying a thick, ribbed trunk covered in spiny areoles. Saguaro cacti bloom in late spring, producing large, white, night-blooming flowers that attract pollinators like bats. These are followed by red, edible fruits in summer. Known for its impressive size and longevity, Carnegiea gigantea can live for over 150 years, making it a symbol of the American Southwest.
