Product Description

Armatocereus mataranus is a rare, columnar cactus native to the dry valleys of southern Peru, known for its thick, segmented stems with pronounced vertical ribs and stout gray to dark spines. Each segment resembles a stacked cylinder, giving the plant a unique architectural appearance. It can grow tall and branched, producing large, white nocturnal flowers that open in summer, followed by spiny fruits. Its dramatic form and Andean origin make it a standout species for serious cactus collectors and arid landscapes.
