Plant Description

Archontophoenix alexandrae, commonly known as the Alexander Palm or King Palm, is a striking, fast-growing palm native to the coastal rainforests of Queensland, Australia. In its juvenile stage, as a small 5-15 cm seedling, it has delicate, feathery pinnate leaves that are deep green and arch gracefully. As it matures, it develops a slender, smooth grey-green trunk with prominent leaf scars, topped by a crown of lush fronds. Eventually, it produces clusters of small, cream-colored flowers followed by bright red fruits. Alexander Palm is popular for its elegant appearance and ability to thrive in tropical and subtropical climates.
