Plant Description
Aloidendron pillansii, also known as the giant quiver tree, is a slow-growing succulent tree native to arid regions of Namibia and South Africa. It can reach heights of up to 10 meters with a thick, stout trunk and branches that fork dichotomously. Its leaves are blue-green, fleshy, and arranged in dense rosettes at the branch tips. Yellow tubular flowers bloom from the crown in the winter months. This species is adapted to extremely dry conditions and rocky, well-draining soils.
