Aloidendron pillansii (syn. Aloe pillansii)
Plant Description
The Aloidendron pillansii, also known as the Giant Quiver Tree, is a striking succulent tree that can grow up to 10 meters tall. This slow-growing tree features a thick, smooth, pale-grey trunk topped with robust branches forming a broad crown. At the tips of the branches, clusters of blue-green, fleshy leaves create a dramatic silhouette. The bright yellow flowers, appearing in spring or summer, contrast beautifully against the bluish leaves and grey bark. Its sculptural form and unique appearance make the Aloidendron pillansii an iconic species of arid, rocky landscapes.
