Plant Description

Agave attenuata, commonly known as the Fox Tail Agave or Lion’s Tail Agave, is a striking, rosette-forming succulent native to the plateaus of central Mexico. It can grow up to 1.2 meters tall and wide, with broad, smooth, pale green leaves that curve gracefully, giving it a distinctive, soft appearance. Unlike other agaves, its leaves lack sharp spines and are smooth-edged. The plant produces a tall, arching flower spike that can reach up to 3 meters, adorned with greenish-yellow flowers. This agave is popular for its architectural form and elegant foliage, making it a favorite in landscape design and container gardening.
