Plant Description

The Agave americana ‘Striata Variegata’, also known as the variegated century plant, is a striking, rosette-forming succulent with bold, architectural foliage. Its long, sword-shaped leaves are blue-green with creamy-yellow longitudinal stripes, edged with sharp spines. Mature plants can reach a width of 1.5–2 meters (5–6.5 feet), making it a dramatic focal point in arid landscapes. Rarely, it produces a tall flowering stalk, up to 7 meters (23 feet), with clusters of yellow flowers. Hardy and drought-tolerant, this agave thrives in well-drained soils and full sun.
