Plant Description

The Acer davidii, commonly known as the David’s Maple or Snakebark Maple, is a medium-sized deciduous tree prized for its striking striped bark. The bark features a unique pattern of green, white, and gray vertical streaks that resemble snakeskin, adding visual interest year-round. Its ovate leaves are bright green in spring and summer, turning golden yellow or red in autumn. Small clusters of greenish-yellow flowers bloom in spring, followed by paired samaras. Native to China, the Acer davidii is a graceful and ornamental choice for gardens and arboretums.
